Trying out a reproduction Pritchard bayonet on a 1917 Webley Mark VI, .455. Also featuring the Prideaux speed loader. Double action firing seemed appropriate as this was intended to be used in close quarters trench warfare. The watermelon didn’t stand a chance. A five pound weight vanishing off the end of your weapon produces some comical muzzle climb! I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, I ended up with a watermelon shower.

So you have these tire people and you thrust and butt stroke and jab a bayonet into it as much as you can and just wipe yourself out doing it. Bayonet is one of my favorite things to do in the army, I hope they never get rid of it.
